Thank you for your patience while we retrieve your images.

These images, which I eventually exhibited under the title Figures and Spaces, are my earliest photographs that I can still stand 100% behind. They were made during the time I was an undergraduate, but not for any assignment or ever used for any class.

Many were made during the summer months while we were off. I was just in love with street photography, as many, many of us were who studied with Bill Rauhauser. I also had a serious Robert Frank fixation, so I carried my camera everywhere and shot all the time. Still do.

All but one of these were part of my first one person show in 1979 at Light Fantastic Gallery in East Lansing, Mi. It was really just a hall in MSU's Art building, and none of my classmates saw or knew about it, but I was on my way.
